The show
Every night, our yard in the woods becomes a 30-minute show of lights, music, and story. It opens with a cozy welcome and a wrapping-paper meltdown, then slips back to one quiet night a long time ago. From there it follows how that night led to Santa and his nutcracker soldiers, until an unexpected visitor shows up to turn the whole thing off. Each show starts at the top of the hour.
Tune in
Park in the yard and tune your car radio to FM 88.1 for the music.
Walk around
Want a closer look? Get out and walk around the designated walking area to see the display up close.
On the hour
Shows start at 6 and 7 PM, every night.
- The yard
- It’s a yard in the woods, with rocks, roots, and dips. Wear sturdy shoes and watch your step.
- The driveway
- It’s gravel, and you’ll turn around in our grass. That’s why we only run the show in good weather.
Questions
Does it cost anything?
No, the show is free. We are not taking donations.
How long is the show?
30 minutes, starting at the top of the hour. Don’t arrive late: nothing happens during the second half of the hour.
The story starts at 6 PM and ends at 6:30 PM.
The same story starts at 7 PM and ends at 7:30 PM.
Don’t ruin it for others and show up 5 minutes late with your headlights and car noises.
Can I bring my dog?
No. Please leave pets at home.
How intense is it?
Expect big flashing lights, loud music, and a dramatic story. If flashing lights are a problem for you, this show isn’t for you.
And yes, you can, and is the expected way, to walk around the show. The yard forms a small dip where you can walk into and be fully surrounded.
Please stay within the show bounds.
What if the weather is bad?
Don’t come. It’s a gravel driveway and you turn around in the grass, so we only play the show in good weather. Check our Facebook page for updates.
Can I take photos and video?
You can, but you don’t need to. We already made a high-quality recording of the whole show, and we’ll share it on our YouTube page.
